Each of Koch Modular’s five Corporate Officers is a degreed chemical engineer with an average of 35+ years of experience in complete project solutions. This Executive Team is complemented by a supporting cast, with strengths in complex separations process design, pilot plant data generation, financial and capital project planning and cost estimation, and plant layout. In addition, we have a project management team that’s experienced in all aspects of detailed design, procurement, and modular construction.

George J. Schlowsky, P.E. – President

A chemical engineer with 58 years of experience in the process design of all types of chemical manufacturing plants. Specific expertise in complex separations processes and equipment design, including distillation, liquid-liquid extraction, absorption and adsorption, crystallization, reactive distillation, organic synthesis, heat transfer and fluid flow, process control and instrumentation. George holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

Alan H. Erickson, P.E. – Vice President

A chemical engineer with 45 years of experience in the process design, startup, and project management of chemical manufacturing plants. Specific expertise in computer simulations of entire recovery plants, design of unit operations such as evaporation, distillation, liquid-liquid extraction, absorption and adsorption, heat transfer and fluid flow, complete process control systems and instrumentation. Alan holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University.

Thomas A. Schafer – Vice President

A chemical engineer with 48 years of experience in the process design, operations management, cost estimating, plant layout, and sales & marketing. Specific expertise in equipment design, including distillation, heat transfer, fluid flow, and process control. Tom holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College.

Brian Loftus – Vice President

A chemical engineer with 20 years of experience in the project planning, cost estimating, plant layout and process design of chemical manufacturing plants. Involved in all aspects of contract development, sales and marketing. Specific expertise includes partnering with innovative chemical technology companies on their concept to commercialization pathway, including process conceptualization, capex and opex modeling, pilot plant proof of concept, detailed engineering, construction and funding strategy consultation. Brian holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

Wendy holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
