Flue Gas Carbon Capture
Mountaineer Station, WV
Koch Modular built the first ever operating carbon capture and storage facility, as featured in The New York Times and Scientific American. Multi-module flue gas carbon capture system for solvent regeneration and recovery using chilled ammonia. The system was installed at a pulverized coal-fueled power plant where the captured CO2 will be injected underground for permanent storage. The process boasts high CO2 removal rates, low solvent slip (release) and high CO2 purity.
